Roadtrip Day 329
Dragged out of bed to hit the free breakfast then returned to the room to pack. That consisted of throwing together the few things we’d carried in on Monday evening. Done. Mostly sunny and not raining so it’s time to try the Newport News Park campground.
Lovely, deep woods on a reservoir. Not too populated. We picked a nice spot and set up. Ate the last of our leftover pizza for lunch and dried out the popup and segregated out a bunch of stuff to take to the laundromat.
Tomorrow. Today, we’re just gonna settle in here and have a night back in our happy, little popup trailer, which stayed dry inside during even the worst T-storms; however, everything got damp from the merciless humidity. Drying out now. More rain in the forecast but this campground is hilly and we won’t float away even if we get terrible rain.
Yep. Later afternoon and it’s raining now. Straight down at least, not that horizontal shit.
And now it has stopped.
